Changchun to host summer summit of TCM world congress

The 6th Summer Summit of the World Congress of Chinese Medicine will be held in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China’s Jilin province, in June 2020.

That’s according to an announcement made at the 16th World Congress of Chinese Medicine – or WCCM – which was held in the city of Budapest in Hungary on Nov 8-9.

Details were from the Jilin committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Meanwhile, another major event is soon coming to the city in the form of the 3rd China (Jilin) Chinese Medicine and Healthcare Industry Expo.

The WCCM organizers said they expect the participation of experts, academics and entrepreneurs in the Chinese medicine and healthcare sectors from across the world.

Hosted by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, the Summer Summit of the WCCM is a global academic event in the Chinese medicine sector.

Initiated in 2015, the summit has so far been held in Jiangsu, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi and Shaanxi provinces in China – with the participation of experts from around the world and the support of international organizations, research institutions and medical institutions.

Located in northeastern China, Jilin province boasts rich Chinese medicine resources and has been promoting the integration of Chinese medicine with healthcare, research, education, cultural tourism and more.

The province is accelerating its internationalization in the Chinese medicine and healthcare industry, aiming to play a positive role in the “Belt and Road” Initiative, according to officials.
