New acupuncture practice opens in Colts Neck

A new licensed doctor of acupuncture specializing in sports medicine, pain management, digestive disorders, and stress/anxiety using Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is opening an office in Colts Neck, NJ. TCM treats the WHOLE person – physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual – and emphasizes natural healing using the body’s own mechanisms. Acupuncture is used with sports injuries and pain to help restore the balance of the body in order to discover the origin of the ailment. It has been found to be very helpful in relieving stress and to providing a sense of well-being. Many professional athletes are now embracing acupuncture for its healing abilities.

Dr. Kevin Clark of Asbury Park, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, completed a four-year course of study at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, resulting in a Masters degree and Diplomat in Oriental Medicine. He later continued his studies to earn his Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is licensed nationally, as well as by the state of New Jersey.

He interned at the San Diego Cancer Center and the San Diego Hospice and Institute for Palliative Medicine. For three years he observed and saw patients at his school’s clinic. Clark recently returned from Chengdu, China where he rotated on the medical staff of a traditional Chinese hospital, studying clinical applications in Nephrology, Cardiology, and Andrology (male reproductive system).
