Clinical observation on chronic cholecystitis Treated by Jin Wei Qinglong Tang

  
 Objective: Observation on the therapeutic effect of Jin Wei Qinglong Tang (decoction composed of four drugs, self-Prepared) on chronic cholecystitis.

Methods: The Prescription followings consists of Herba Lysimachiae, Radix Clematidis, Pericmpium Citri Reticulatae, Radix Gentianas, Herba Artemisiae Capillaris, Radix Bupleuri, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Pericmpium immature bitter orange, Bamboo leaf, Rhizoma pinelliae, Fructus Mrliae Toosendan, YuHou. For poor appetite Endothelium Corneum Gigerias Gain edded in dark tongue proper Rhizoma Ligusdtici Chuanxiong are added; For soft stool Radix et Rhizoma Rheiis replaced by Rhizoma Atracylodis, one dose q.d. boiled to 250ml. Half-half volume for each, oral administration before meals. Generally the symptoms alleviated after 4-8 doses. After subside of symptoms and signs 5 doses more are win for stabilization and recurrence prevention. All cases take the drugs continuously and stop other drugs. The duration of drug taken vales from 15 days to 60 days.

Results: Cured in 98 cases (58.3%), effective in 67 cases (39.9%), and no effect in 3 cases (l.8%). The total effective rate is 98.2%. Ultrasonography after treatment reports no abnormal finding in 156 cases and in 12 cases gall bladder wall still thickened or rough, without obvious change in bladder volume.

Conclusion: Jin Wei Qinglong Tang is not only effective in alleviating and reducing symptoms, but also improves the pathological changes detected by ultrasonography. It indicates there are real good therapeutic effect.
