Analysis of Clinical Effects of Acute Leukemia Treated with Systematic Chinese Patent Herb, Qing Gu Pills
 
　　
Objective: To explore the clinical effects on acute leukemia treated with systematic Chinese patent herb, Qing Gu Pills.

Methods: 160 cases of acute leukemia patients were treated with the systematic Chinese patent herb, Qing Gu Pills, and obvious therapeutic effects were obtained. The systematic herb, Qing Gu Pills are respectively "Qing Gu Pills I, II", "Jiang You Capsules", "Gu Sue Zao Xue Pills", “Qing Gu Pills I"consists of Radix Panacis Quinquefolii, Powder of notoginseng, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, prepared fresh-water turtle shell, trotoise-shell, fleece-flower root, carbonized hair, etc. more than twenty herbs. 5g each pack was given after breakfast, lunch, and supper. Qing Gu Pills II consists of natural indigo, cowbezoare, Radix Angelica Sinensis, Aloe, Moschas, etc more than twenty herbs. 0.5g each granule, 5 granules were given after breakfast, lunch and supper. Jiang You Capsules consists of Radix Pseudostellariae, buffalohorn powder, pearl shell powder, moleplant seed, toad venom, gecko, centipede powder, moleplant seed, toad venom, decko, centipede powder, realgar etc 18 herbs. 0.5g each granule, 4-6 granules were given after breakfast, lunch and supper. Every Gu Cui Zao Xue Bolus weights 9g, each one for morning and night. Orally taking the above herbs one month constituted one course of treatment. It could be given long time without toxic or side effects.

Results: Among the 160 cases of acute leukemia, after taking the systematic herbs, Qing Gu Pills, combined with suitable treatment, 26 cases (16.25%), were cured, 28 cases (17.5%), completely relieved, 86 cases (53.75%) partly relieved, 20 cases (12.50%) ineffective. The total effective rate was 87.5%.

Conclusion: The systematic preparation, Qing Gu Pills applied traditional TCD process and modern scientific methods, is effective on acute leukemia. It can transform the leukemia cells (malignant by perplasia) into normal blood cells and repair the marrow and whole tissues of the body damaged by leukemia virus, recover pericyte and marrow into normal, make primary cells and progranulocyte disappeared, stimulate reticuloen dothelial system increasing phagocytose of vires, increase the ejection of T cells, and forming antibody. It improves immunologic function quickly, improves the life quality, and prolonges the survival time greatly.
