Analysis on Efficacy of Yixie Juanbi Bolus in Treating 240 Cases of Rheumatoid Arthritis

　　
Objective: To verify the clinical effect of Yixie Juanbi Bolus (YJB, ant scorpion dispersing Blocking Bolus).

Methods: YJP consisted of Melanoides spiny ant, Scorpio, Zaocys, Aspongopus, Nidus Vespae, Radix Rehmannia, Radix Aconitum, Radix Astragalus, Radix Salvia Miltiorrhizae, Radix et Rhizoma Clematis, etc., was used in treating 240 cases of rheumatoid Arthritis, l Bolus (weighing l0g), 3 times Per day per os, and observed for over 9 months

Result: 87 cases (36.25%) were cured, ll4 cases (47.5%) markedly effective, 38 cases (l5.85%) effective, and l (0.3%) ineffective, the total clinical effective rate being 99.7%.

Conclusion: The long-term effect of YJB in treating the Rheumatoid arthritis is certain and satisfactory without toxic side effect for a long time using.
