Clinical Report of 132 Cases of Hyperviscosity Syndrome Treated with "Di Tan Hua Yu San Jie"

　　
Objective: To observe the clinical effects of hyperviscosity syndrome treated with Di Tan Hua Yu San Jie.

Methods: l32 cases were all the inpatients and outpatients of the hospital. Among them, 85 cases were male, 47 cases female, and average age 59.6 years. As primary diseases, they suffered from coronary heart disease, hypertension, cerebral infarction and arterioscle rosis, etc. Most patients had symptoms of headache, dizziness, tetraplegia and pain of limbs, anorexia, white greasy tongue fur or yellow greasy fur and slippery pulse. Its TCM differentiation belongs to stagnation of phlegm. Di Tan Hua Yu San Jie method was used for the treatment. The prescription is poria, loranthus mulberry mistletoe, dogwood fruit, epimedium, red sage root, notoginseng, prunella spike, oyster shell seaweed and seatangle. These drugs were selected based on symptoms. One dose was given daily, one month constituting a course.

Results: After the l32 cases of patients were treated for one course, symptoms and index of blood rheology were improved to different degrees. Among them, 49 cases were obviously effective, 55 cases improved, 22 cases effective, 6 cases ineffective. The total effective rate was 95.45%. The index of blood rheology of the l32 cases was abnormal to different degrees before the treatment. After a course of treatment, the index of blood rheology was significantly improved. (p<0.05).

Conclusion: Di Tan Hua Yu San Jie Prescription could significantly decrease the blood Viscosity of the patient swith hyperviscosity and improve the state of blood rheology.
