Results of Treating 228 Cases of Radical Cervical spondylosis by use of
Cervical spondylosis is a common disease in people with the age over 30 years old and is clinically divided into the types of cervical nerve root, spinal cord, vertebral artery and mixed form. It can be cured by timely appropriate treatment. Here, we report the treatment of 228 patients include 99 (43.4%) male and 129 (56.6%) female. The patients' ages were from 19 to 86 years old with 80% from 30-59.111 (48.7%) patients had neck pain, 60 (26.3%) with neck and right shoulder pain, 22.4% with peck and left shoulder pain, and 6 (2.6%) with neck and both shoulder pain. All Patients had stiff neck. Neck pain was increased by pushing the top of a head toward the neck or by raising an arm. X-ary or MRI revealed changes in cervical spine. The patients were treated with acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine. Major acupuncture points include Du 14, Jinjiaji point, Ashi point, Du 20, and L7, Zhou-Lin Biological Apparatus was used to heat the pain area. The Chinese herbal medicine used were modified Duhuojishen Tan. After l-3 terms of the treatment, 141 (61.8%) patients were cured and 5l (22.4%) were almost recovered. Pain of 25 (11%) patients was reduced. 11 (4.8%) patients did not respond to the treatment. We believe that the cervical spondylosis is bond degenerate disease. According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is categorized in Pi-Zheng and is due to blockage of Qi-Xue circulation by Wind, Cold, and Wet. Acupuncture is able to regulate body function and reduce pain. The heating from Zhou-Lin Biological Apparatus improves circulation. The modified Duhuojishen Tang enhances Qi-Xus circulation, eliminates infection, and reduces pain. All together the treatment gave the excellent results.
