Study on Relationship between the Good-Conduction Reaction Spot of the
Objective: To find out whether there is any difference in therapeutic effects between stimulation of a good-conduction reacting spot and a non-good-conduction reacting spot of a specific auricular point, and whether the stimulation of the exact good-conduction spot of the auricular point can increase the therapeutic results.
Methods: The cases who may have immediate results in 20 minutes, including improvement of symptoms or signs such as various kinds of pain, pseudomyopia, hoarse voice, nasal obstruction, urticaria etc. were selected as the subjects of observation; A CLRH-A Auricular Point Detector (produced by Nanjing Xiao Song Medical Apparatus Factory) was used to locate the positive reaction spot. Observation was carried out for 20 minutes and therapeutic results were recorded and judged. In a same patient, if the first treatment with the positive or negative reaction spot fails to have any improvement, a second treatment is given for 20 minutes by using a negative or positive reacting point which is opposite to the one used in the first treatment, so as to make comparison on the same patient. If no positive reaction spot can be found in the auricular region, it can only be taken as the control case treated with the negative reaction spot.
Results: Those cases with disappearance or remarkable improvement of symptoms and signs are regarded as remarkably effective; those with some improvement of the symptoms are regarded as effective and those with no improvement as ineffective. A total of 141 cases were treated. Of the 88 cases treated with positive reaction spot,29 cases were remarkably effective, 44 cases effective and 15 cases ineffective, with the effective rate being 82.95%; Of the 53 cases treated with non-positive reaction spot, only 11 cases were effective, and 42 cases ineffective, with the total effective rate being 20.75%.There was a very significantly difference between the two groups in therapeutic effects.
Conclusion: In auricular point treatment, stimulation at the good-conduction reaction point accurately located by the auricular detector can increase therapeutic effects greatly.
