Traditional Chinese medicine has solved the embarrassing medical problem endured by a Guangzhou pensioner for over two decades.

Since the early 1980s the 61-year-old has had to rush to use the toilet just three minutes after drinking tea or soup.

And visits to countless doctors have done nothing to rid the man, surnamed Xu, of the mysterious disease.

For years Xu, from Meizhou, eastern Guangdong, avoided drinking any liquids whilst out, reports the Guangzhou Daily. His years of embarrassment finally ended after a month-long course of treatment at the Guangdong No 2 Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine which has cured him.
