Methods: The patient stands and the varicose vein area on the skin is marked with a pen. Then the patient takes supine position. According to the mark the doctor taps the afflicted area from lower part to upper part with the magnetic round needle. For the patient With low pain tolerance, or vericosity occurring on the surface of tibia, the doctor applies toponareosis with 1 % lidocaine and does the treatment afterwards. After the tapping is finished, the doctor twines elastic bandage around the afflicted limb immediately. The tightness of the bandage should be adjusted to a proper degree so that the patient feels tight enough while his lower limb (including foot) doesn't feel intolerable pressure and distension. The bandage is kept around the limb a week and then removed. In case of the occurrence of complication of ulceration, the tapping manipulation is applied after the ulcer is cured. The treatment for the ulcer is as follows. The patient should take a bed rest for long time with the afflicted limb lifted through using an underlay. Common ablution is applied to the ulcer. In case of much pus, golden Yellow plaster (Jin huang gab) is applied. In case of less pus, Muscle Growth Promoting Yuhong Plaster (Sheng ji yuhong gao) is applied. After the plaster is applied, this area is covered with sterilized dressing, and elastic bandage is twined also. Dressing change is done once every 1-3 days according to the seriousness of the condition. Oral medication is given with TCM decoction. Decoction of Four Wonder Drugs for Detoxifying and Activating Blood Circulation (Simiaoyongantang) is administered to patients of Wetnessheat syndrome. Decoction for Warming Yang (Yanghetang) is administered to patients of cold-Wetness syndrome. The patient should return visit examination two weeks after the treatment. Another treatment is given if the afflicted area has not recovered completely.

Contraindication of this method: The mechanism of magnetic round needle taking effect in Varix of lower limb lies in that it promotes the close of the varicose veins and then causes the blood of lower limb to circulates in deep vein. Therefore, examining the function of deep vein of the afflicted lower limb Prior to application of the manipulation is indispensable. The steps of this examination are as follows. The patient stand and ties up the root of the thigh with a tourniquet in order to cause obvious filling of the varicose vein. The patient makes extension-flexion movement of the limb forceful 10-20 times. If the viscose vein becomes invisible or the filling is reduced, and the patient doesn't feel pressured or distended in the limb, it is inferred that the deep vein functions well. If the filling is not reduced or is worsened, and the patient feels a distending pain in the limb, it is inferred that the patient's deep vein is blocked or doesn't function well.
