The therapeutic principles of Alzheimer' Disease were replenishing vital energy and invigorating blood circulation, invigorating functioning of the spleen to resolve phlegm, strengthening the marrow by reinforcing the function of the kidney,invigorating blood circulation to transform stasis. The main therapeutic acupoints were as follows: Tianfu (LU 3), Lieque (LU 7), Hegu (LI 4), Zusanli (ST 36), Fenglong (ST 40),Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Shaohai (HT 3), Xinshu we 15), Pishu (UB 20), Shenshu (UB 23), Taixi (KI 3), Zhaohai (KI 6) etc. In clinic different cases need select different acupoints. If the case was diagnosed as deficiency of marrow, Shengshu (UB 23), Xinshu (UB 15), Taixi (KI 3), Zhaohai (KI 6) points were added. If the case was diagnosed as deficiency of Qi and blood, Hegu (LI 14), Zusanli (ST 36), Ganshu (UB 18), Xinshu (UB 15), Pishu (UB 20), Neiguan (PC 6), Shenmen (HT 7) points were added if the case was diagnosed as the heart channel being obstructed by phlegm as a pathogenic factor caused by deficiency of Spleen-Qi, Pishu (UB 20), Weishu (UB 21), Shenshu (UB 23), Zusanli (ST 36), Fenglong (ST 40), Yanglingquan (GB 34) points were added. If the case was diagnosed as deficiency Qi that causes blood stasis, Baihui (DU 20), Tanzhong (RN 17), Xuehai (SP 10), Futu (ST 32), Guanyuan (RN 4), Qihai (RN 6), Yanglingquan (GB 34) points were added. If the case was diagnosed as stagnation of superficial venules, Ganshu (UB 18), Shenshu (UB 23), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Zusanli (ST 36), Geshu (UB 17), Zhaohai (KI 6), Xuehai (SP 10), Daheng (SP 15) points were added. The manipulations of massage were as follows: (1) tapping Baihui (DU 20), Sishencong (Ex 6); (2) massaging the neck; pressing Fengchi (GB 20), Yamen (DU 15), Tianfu (LU 3); massaging along Urinary Bladder Channel; (3) chiropratic and pressing Xinshu (UB 15), Pishu (UB 20), Weishu (UB 21), Shenshu (UB 23); (4) massaging the area of stomach and pressing Shangwan (RN 13), Zhongwan (RN 12), Xiawan (RN 10),Zusanli (ST 36), and Sanyinjia (SP 6); (5) to sequeale of stock the therapeutic method was massaging the area of palsy and press Baihui (DU 20), Fengchi (GB 20), Tianfu (LU 3), Jianjing (GB 21),Jianyu (LI 15), Quchi (LI 11), Shaohai (HT 3). The treatment of acupuncture and massage was very effective on treating Alzheimer' disease.
