Clinical Observation and Research on the Meridian Balancing Therapy on the

Objective: To observe the effect of Meridian Balancing Apparatus on the dual-regulation of blood viscosity.

Methods: First, DCZ-l Computerized Meridian Detector and Diagnosis Apparatus was used to diagnose a deficiency syndrome or an excess syndrome and the degree of biological imbalance. Meanwhile, ZXG-4C Cardiovascular Function Diagnosis Apparatus was used to test three indexes including blood viscosity. Finally, ZDZ-3 Computerized Acupuncture Meridian Balancing apparatus was used for treatment of arthralgia-syndrome by the prescriptions of points selected according to the author's clinical experience and indexes detected by DCZ-1. The treatment was given once a day with 30 minutes each, and 10 times constituted one course of treatment. Usually 1 to 3 courses of treatment were conducted.

Results: In higher blood viscosity group, 45 cases (3l.7%) were cured with the values of all the three blood indexes getting normal; 6l cases (43%) were remarkably effective with the whole blood viscosity becoming normal and one of another two indexes were still abnormal; 22 cases (l5.5%) were effective and their whole blood viscosity turned to normal but the other two indexes did not; l4 cases (9.8%) were ineffective for all the three indexes were still abnormal. The total effective rate was 90.2%. In the lower blood viscosity group, 26 cases (25%) were effective and l3 (l0.l%) ineffective. The total effective rate was 85.9%.
