Otopoint Diagnosis-Treatment and Intelligence Computer
Objective: To analyze the correspondence rate of the results derived from otopoint diagnostic intelligence computer and modem medical examination techniques for realizing computerization of auricular diagnostic-therapeutic system. Methods: Through stereo-imaging display, guidance of light scale, automatic calibration, automatic comprehensive analysis, dialogue between human and computer, and by combining the four diagnostic methods of inspection, auscultation-olfaction, interrogation, pulse feeling and palpation of traditional Chinese medicine and techniques of inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation of modern medicine together, the objects of location and qualitative diagnosis have been realized. Through special coding and treatment, the false negative and false positive problems induced due to environment, temperature, moisture, pressure, emotion, auricular horny layer, etc. have been solved by the above-mentioned computer. 23l3 patients aged from 4 .months to 92 years were subjected into this study. Patients' diseases contained those of departments of the intema1 medicine, surgery gynecology pediatrics, the eye-ear-nose and throat, including cerebrovascular disease, cardiac disease, respiratory disease, gastrointestinal disease, liver and gallbladder diseases, disorders of the genitourinary system, nervous system and limb movement, etc., cervical, shoulder and lumbar disorders, etc. CT ultrasonic examination, fluoroscopy, dynamic electrocardiogram, rheoencephalogram, various laboratory examination, etc were also used for comparing results of this intelligence computer system. Results: Results of 23l3 cases of patients and 1121l symptoms or diseases showed that the total correspondence rate was 93.9%.
