Combined Treatment Of 3rd Lumbar Vedebral Transverse Process Syndrom
Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of knife needle stimulation combined with oblique pulling manipulation for treatment of 3rd lumbar vertebra transverse process syndrome.
Methods: 89 cases of 3rd lumbar vertebral transverse process syndrome patients were treated by stimulating the local focus region with a knife needle, followed by adopting oblique pulling manipulations at a certain fixed point, using suitable manipulations for setting the adhered soft tissues apart and making the spasmodic tissues relaxed and the injured soft tissues restored.
Results: Of the 89 cases, 63 were cured, 19 had marked improvement and 6 had improvement and only one had no any evident change, with the total effective rate being 98.9%.
Conclusion: Knife needle stimulation combined with oblique pulling manipulation could effectively release the spasm of degenerated soft tissues, separate tissue adhesion, get rid of nervous oppression and pain.
