Clinical Observation on Treatment of 62 Cases Of Atrophic Gastritis by the
Objective: Study on treatment of atrophic gastritis by the Methods of supplementing Qi and Promoting blood circulation.
Methods: The Prescription of Wei Ling (effective for atrophic gastritis) composed of Radix Pseudostellariae 30g. Fructus Aurantti 15g, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae 30g, Radix Paeoniae Rubra 15g. Each course consists of 3 months of treatment.
Results: Among 62 cases, cure in 55 cases (88.7%), significant effective in 5 cases (8.l%), no effect in 2 cases (3.1%). Total effective rate is 96.8%.
Conclusion: Prescription of Wei Ling is based on supplementing Qi and Promoting blood circulation. When used in therapy of atrophic gastritis it is not only effective in release of clinical symptoms and also is effective in improving the Pathological changes of gastric mucus membrane. Enhancing Qi and Promoting blood circulation in combination may intensify the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing stasis. It may complement the insufficient points if either enhancing Qi or promoting blood circulation used alone. It expresses the academic thinking; i.e. treatment of diseases of spleen and stomach mainly depends on Qi.
