Floral Medications For The Emotions

Doctor Edward Bach developed medicinal essences with the nectar of 38 flowers to use as treatments for different disorders.

Bach thinks that the illnesses are product of imbalance and conflict between personality and the spiritual being.

Each pathology has is tied to the personality of each patient, and this is why it is necessary to bring general harmony that will contribute to better physical and mental health. For this reason, it’s necessary to know the causes of the symptoms to achieve harmony between body and mind.

In 1976, the WHO accepted Bach’s system of flowers as a system of alternative medicine. Later, they were approved by the Department of Health of the United Kingdom and by the FDA of the U.S., among other institutions that govern health matters.

Bach’s flowers don’t have chemical elements in their composition, and this is the reason why they don’t produce adverse effects and instead contribute beneficial action. The floral medications don’t act directly in physical ailments, but in the worry, anxiety, fear or discouragement that comes along with the symptoms. Consulting with the doctor is indispensable in these circumstances.

If the wrong floral medicine is used, there won’t be any negative effects, since this alternative therapy doesn’t act on the body, but on the emotions.

Physical problems such as hypertension, heart problems, obesity, diabetes or kidney disease must still be under the professional supervision of a doctor, because the floral medications only act in the emotional equilibrium.

Among the flowers of Bach the most used are Rock Rose for panic, Mimulus to surpass the fear of known things, Clematis for dreamers and distracted persons, Wild Rose to controls apathy and resignation, Olive to alleviates fatigue and lack of energy, and Cerato for those who don’t have self confidence.

Also there is Gorse that controls the lack of expectations and pessimism, Hornbeam for the mental fatigue, Impatiens that acts against impatience and irritability, and Larch that is used to surpass the inferiority complex.
