Heritage New York Medical Group (HNYMG), an affiliate of Heritage Medical Systems, one of the nation's most successful and largest physician-owned and operated management companies, has been selected by HIP Health Plan of New York (HIP) to manage Medicare lives in Suffolk County. HIP, who originally withdrew from the Suffolk Market, has decided to stay in Suffolk County.

HIP is an HMO operating with a Medicare+Choice contract, currently offering its VIP Medicare product in Suffolk, Nassau, Westchester, Orange and Rockland counties, as well as in New York City (Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island). HIP is one of the largest HMOs in the NYC area with over 790,000 members offering many products in addition to its VIP Medicare Product.
