Objective: To observe the curative effects of Fuzheng Capsule on dementia caused by multi cerebral infarction.

Methods: 60 cases were randomly divided into 2 groups with 3l cases treated with the oral administration of Fuzheng Capsule and 29 with Hydergine. One course of treatment lasted for 30 days, and two courses were required without any interval.

Result: The total clinical effective rate was 67.74% in the treated group and 4l.33% in the control group with the significant difference between the groups (P<0.05). Compared with the control group and the condition before the treatment, cerebral blood flow increased in the treatment group with the significant difference (P<0.0l).

Conclusion: Fuzheng Capsule provides an excellent effect in the treatment of dementia caused by multi cerebral infarction.
