ChangChun College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) was founded in 1958. It is the institution of higher learning for training talents of TCM and Chinese materia medica set up earlier in China. The college has under it 6 departments, namely TCM, Chinese Materia Medica, Acupuncture and Moxibustion and Traumatology and Orthopedics, Basic-course Teaching, International Knowledge, and Adult Education.

In the college there are 10 institutes, 10 special hospitals and 12 teaching hospitals. In addition, there are authorized programs for Master's degrees, which are approved by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China. At present, there are 34 full professors and 200 associate professors, 465 lectures.

The College is one of the colleges approved in the first batch by the Ministry of Education to admit overseas students at their own expense. Up to now, there are more 137 undergraduate and diploma oversea students coming from eight different countries and regions and short-term personnel engaged in research and studies are trained, Teaching, recreation and working assemble together in International Training Center. It has many excellent teachers teaching in Japanese, Korean, Russian, English or Chinese.
