Discussion
AcupunctUre combined with inhaIahon
of herbal extrast and oxygen is designed
accondng tO the train of thought of
cOmbination of tradihonal Chinese medicine
(TCM) with westem medicine. During the
trCtrillt, the patiellt receives acuPunctIJre,
and at the same time inhales Chinese drugs
and oxygen intO the lung, maldng the former
and latte exert synchronous funchons in the
human bedy with raPd and obvious
theaPeutic effects.
In TCM, supplementing kidney
resolving Phlegm, removing blood stasis and
restoring consciousness are the conventional
metheds used fOr treatment of senile
demenha.2 We hOld that the key factor
answers, respond PromPly, take care of
oneself and tak pnd in certain social
achvities.
Effctive: The main mental symPtms
have some relnd or partial disappearance; and
the patient can basically take care of oneself
and give correct answer though with demena.
Ineffective: The main symPtoms were
not imProved or even aggravatCd, incaPability
of tdeng care of oneself with incorrect answer
tO questions.
