Objective: To testify the therapeutic efficacy of modified Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang in the treatment of apoplectic convalescence.

Methods: 98 cases in apoplectic convalescence were randomly divided into 2 groups, 65 cases in the treated group were given modified Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang, 33 cases in the control group were given Deng Zhan Hua Su Tablet. One month constituted a therapeutic course. All the patients were treated for one course. The clinical symptoms, syndrome and the level of blood-lipid were observed.

Results: In the treated group, 18 cases were cured, 26 cases marked effective, 17 cases effective, 4 cases ineffective, the total effective rate was 93.9%. In the control group, 3 cases were recovered, 13 cases markedd effective, 9 cases effective, 8 cases ineffective, the total effective rate was 75.8%. The therapeutic effect in the treated group to significantly superior to that in the control group re<0.05).

Conclusion: The modified Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang has good effect in improving the patient's conditions, lowering impaired degree, and enhancing life qualities.
