Blood in  TCM

Blood, mainly composed of the nutrient qi and body fluid, circulates inside the vessels. blood can nourish and moisten the body, in order to maintenance of life. In TCM, the production and circulation of blood are very close with five-zang-organs.    

1. The production of blood

      Food---Functions of spleen and stomach---absorbing sufficient food nutrients---generating nutrient qi    

      and body fluid     Enter into vessels

                                 Heart-qi-transformation---Production of blood            Kidney-essence

  The affecting factors:  Food quality,

                                   The functions of spleen and stomach

                                   Sufficient kidney essence .

2. The circulation of  blood

    The lung facing all the vessels                                          The heart governs blood  and vessel              

 

 The liver stores blood  governs                                               

                                                                                               The liver dredging and dispersing

 and regulates the volume of blood.

         

椭圆: Spleen commands blood

Premise:  Blood changes of cold and heat.

              Vessel state smoothly.

              Sufficient blood.

 

Motivity: Propelling function of qi (heart, heart, liver).

                  Fixating function of qi (spleen, liver).
